The Hunt Valley Baptist Church
Family Hayride & Cookout was one of the best in memory with dozens
attending and enjoying the fabulous fun, food, and fellowship.
Pastor Bottrell opened the evening with a stirring devotion
around the bonfire, challenging members to lay up treasure in Heaven
by working for the Lord. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed roasting
weiners, marsh mellows, and making smores.
As
previously announced in church, those who brought either chili or dessert
could enter their dish into competition. There were a number
of entries, and after much deliberation, judges awarded honors to:
Pastor Bottrell - Best Chili Stepanie Felton - Best Dessert
The
evening was capped off with a wonderful hayride. Brother Josh drove the tractor
and everyone enjoyed the fall scenery.
