"Attempt great things for God;
Expect great things from God"
- WILLIAM CAREY
Hunt Valley Baptist Church (HVBC) was
founded by Pastor David Bottrell on April 25, 2004, holding
its first service in a storefront building on Greenspring
Avenue in Timonium, MD. Word quickly spread that Hunt Valley
Baptist Church was a church where people could thrive
spiritually, and
attendance began to grow. Many first-time visitors remarked
after attending a service that they had never before been in
such a friendly church. Thus, by the time the church was
three years old, it was apparent that a new church facility
was sorely needed.
Something New
"I was glad when they said unto me, Let
us go into the house of the Lord."
Ps 122:1
A
church is not a building; it is a special fellowship of
believers who want to be disciples of Jesus Christ. It is a
Christian family in which there is always an extra seat at
the table for one more. It is a body in which all members
work together toward a common purpose - serving and
glorifying God. When God called Pastor Bottrell to start a
church in Hunt Valley, MD, he resolved that HVBC would not
be just another church, but that it would truly be...
Something Different
"Now when they saw the boldness of Peter
and John... they took knowledge of them, that they had been
with Jesus." Acts 4:13
To
make a difference, you have to be different. What makes Hunt
Valley Baptist Church different from many other churches is
that our central focus is on the Word of God. In each
service, members hear messages that are practical, powerful,
and timely. This is what makes HVBC...
Something Exciting
"For the zeal of thine house hath
eaten me up" Ps 69:9
At
Hunt Valley Baptist Church, the experience of being in God’s
house will excite and inspire you. Through others
ministering to you and the opportunities you will have to
minister to others, you’ll experience God’s blessings on a
level that you never thought possible. You’ll find a place
to “fit in,” to worship, to serve, to accomplish with others
what you could not accomplish alone. In short, you’ll find
that serving the Lord is truly something to be excited
about!
