PASTOR CALEB BOTTRELL, Senior Pastor

Pastor Caleb Bottrell has served in the ministry for over 25 years. After graduating from Bible college in 1998, he worked as an Assistant Pastor under the ministry of Dr. Scott Hanks in Lawrence, KS. In December 2006, God led the Bottrell family to HVBC. A few years later, in 2009, Pastor Caleb joined the church staff. In 2014, he stepped into the role of Interim Pastor, and two years later he was voted in as the Senior Pastor in April 2016. Since then, Pastor Caleb has been a tremendous blessing to the church family through his steady leadership, compassion, and commitment to sound, biblical preaching. Known for his hard work, deep love for the Lord, and engaging, alliterated sermons, Pastor Caleb continues to lead our church forward for Christ! His wife, Mary, faithfully oversees the children’s ministries, and they are both grateful for the privilege of raising five children.

PASTOR GUS RODRIGUEZ, Assistant Pastor

In 2007, God led the Rodriguez family through the doors of HVBC. That same year, through the preaching of God’s Word, both Gus and his wife, Laura, were saved and baptized. As the Lord continued to work in their lives, Gus was called into Christian service in 2008 and later joined the staff in June 2012. Today, he serves as an Assistant Pastor, faithfully leading the church music and media ministries, where his skills and dedication have been a blessing to the church family. His wife, Laura, oversees the nursery ministry. Their family has been blessed with five children.

STEPHEN GUNZENHAUSER, Administrative Assistant

In 2024, Stephen graduated from Bible college and shortly thereafter was married to his wife, Alicia, who was raised at HVBC. In June 2025, he joined the church staff, where he serves as an Administrative Assistant and Missions Director. His wife, Alicia, serves as the church secretary, and together they are grateful for the opportunity to serve the Lord and to be a blessing to the HVBC family.
