To help you prepare for your visit, here are a few answers to some frequently asked questions by first-time guests.
-
Our Sunday begins with Sunday School at 9:30 AM, where classes are available for every age group. This is a time for in-depth Bible study and fellowship in a smaller setting, helping you grow in your faith while building lasting connections.
The Morning Worship Service at 10:30 AM is the centerpiece of our week. Together, we lift our voices in congregational hymns, enjoy inspiring choir specials and ensembles, and prepare our hearts through Christ-honoring music. The service centers around the preaching of God’s Word, providing practical, life-changing truth for you and your family.
We gather again for the Evening Service at 5:00 PM, a time of worship, testimony, and encouragement with a different message from God’s Word. This service offers another opportunity to grow spiritually and enjoy fellowship with the church family.
Each week, we also meet for Thursday Bible Study & Prayer at 7:00 PM. This midweek service provides a time to dig deeper into Scripture, share burdens, and unite together in prayer. It is a refreshing break in the week and a vital part of the life of our church.

At Hunt Valley Baptist Church, we know how valuable peace of mind is for parents of young children. That’s why we provide safe, loving nurseries for children ages three and under during all of our services.
Our nursery workers are not only trained and experienced, but they have also completed State of Maryland background checks to ensure the highest level of safety and care. Each child is welcomed into a clean, secure environment where their needs are met with kindness and attention.
For added reassurance, we use a pager system to quietly notify parents during the service if their child needs them. This allows mothers and fathers to fully participate in the worship service, knowing they can be reached instantly if necessary.
It is our joy to serve your family in this way and to provide a trustworthy place for your little ones while you enjoy the preaching, music, and fellowship of Hunt Valley Baptist Church.

Hunt Valley Baptist Church is a traditional, Independent Baptist church. Our services begin with congregational singing of traditional hymns, accompanied by uplifting choir and special music to prepare our hearts for worship. Following this, we hear Bible preaching directly from the King James Version, offering practical, Christ-centered messages grounded in God’s Word. Our Sunday morning service typically concludes around 11:45 AM. Each service is designed to glorify God, and provide a warm, welcoming environment for every visitor.

While we do not have a specific dress code for guests, we believe that attending church is a special time to meet with Someone important—both God and His people. Because of this, we aim to dress neatly and respectfully as a way of honoring Him. That said, don’t worry if you don’t have a suit or formal attire. Regardless of your attire, we welcome you warmly and are delighted that you chose to join us.

At Hunt Valley Baptist Church, we love children and want them to grow in God’s Word. On Sunday mornings, we offer Sunday School and Junior Church classes, led by highly trained teachers, for children ages four and up. These classes provide age-appropriate Bible teaching, games, activities, and opportunities to build friendships with other kids in a safe and nurturing environment. In addition, our teenagers have their own Sunday School class, where they learn practical lessons from the Bible that are tailored to the unique challenges and opportunities of their stage of life.
